The VLEPO held its Fall Festival on Oct. 24, 2009 - the weather was a hot 90 degrees - not quite Fall temps. Many children enjoyed the festival, all the children's events were free to all residents of Vero Lake Estates. The Girl Scout Troop from VLE donated their time to do the face painting, children enjoyed the pumpkin painting; there was a bean bag toss and a scanvenger hunt in the "future" Vero Lake Estates Environmental Park. The progress at the park currently is in it's infancy - we hope over time this land will evolve and our children and adults will benefit from this great piece of land. Currently the park land boasts native trees and tortoise burrows which are currently marked with colored ribbons. Please help us save this native environment.
The Festival guests all walked thru the land and watched for the more than 40 tortoise burrows, hoping to catch a glimpes of a tortoise.
Many new members and volunteers were signed up for future growth & events of VLEPO.

The Indian River County Firefighters unit from Sebastian station was available to teach children about the fire truck, it's equipment and how they work to put out fires. The children loved the big shiny red truck - and of course they all left wanting to be a Fireman!

Vero Lake Estates Property Owners would like to thank everyone who volunteered and everyone who signed up to be a new member - we also would like to thank all the VLEPO Board members who volunteered their time to get the park ready, pick up and order supplies and for the time they spent on their weekend to help the residents of Vero Lake Estates. Thank you also to the VLE Volunteer Fire Dept. for the use of their tables and chairs.
It is the cooperative and coordinated effort of all the residents of VLE that will help make our the VLE community great, safe and valuable lifestyle over the years!
