Vero Lake Estates is a community within Indian River County. It is located at latitude - longitude coordinates (also known as lat-long or GPS coordinates) of N 27.74531 and W -80.52783. Most of VLE is 20 ft. above sea level. VLE is the largest subdivision in the county; originally being developed in 1950's but due to it's location, the subdivision did not sell and develop as expected; few homes were built on the 6000 Vero Lake Estate lots until the building boom started. Since that time about 2600 homes have been built in Vero Lake Estates; lot sizes vary from 1/4 acre to 5-acre lots. Many residents own more than one lot - some own their whole street. Vero Lake Estates gives residents a feel of country - most of the main roads are paved, but the side roads are not. The homes in the area are mostly well-water and septic; though the water mains have been installed recently in majority of the subdivision and some residents are hooking up to the "county-water" system.
If you are a commuter and need to access I-95, you can be on the interstate within five to eight minutes of leaving your driveway, and the beach is approximately 7 miles east, where you can enjoy a peaceful day at the Atlantic Ocean. Within a 15 mile drive you can access The Center for the Arts; Children's Theater; numerous golf courses; Intercoastal Waterway for fishing and boating; and shopping at the Indian River Mall and the Outlet Mall. That's a pretty good deal for work or play.
Vero Lake Estates location offers quick and convenient access to many of the Indian River County Schools - Sebastian River HS, is bound on two sides by VLE properties; the middle school is directly across CR 512; Treasure Coast Elementary is with-in walking distance for many VLE children; as well as other schools in close proximity. A short drive across CR 512 and you are at the North County Pool facility - a beautiful and fun adventure for parents, children and even grandparents, spend an hour or spend a day!
Living in VLE affords residents a quiet, country atmosphere to live in; but all the culture and outdoor sporting activity within a short drive - no rush hour to deal with. A great place to raise your children!
